Hello has been very busy these last 2 years, not much time at home....... so please read and look some art work, the flies are tied without a vice now! And fishing photos too, enjoy it!!.
During 2008 -07 I have been abroad because of Atlantic salmon fishing, fly tying and painting studies in Norway, Scotland, England, Denmark, Sweden & Spain. My seasonal guiding in the Chilean Patagonia was busy and I also a visited another operation to promote my work etc.
The 2009 fishing season in many places is almost finished… It’s time to make those good moments last while you are away from your favorite waters, so I`m offering this chance to commission painting services of your favourite rivers, catches etc.

Then for a regular angler of the “ Estancia del Zorro Lodge” that I work for, in Patagonia, Chile. Mr. George Boder, wanted to a true Angler Portrait ( in real scale), in the Estancia, his favorite place to fish, this is the right way to bring memories on those day away from streams, surroundings or fish caught!. |

As well I have been working on Paintings releated with Atlantic Salmon rivers, but I can`t post them until the book, is published.they are looking great!.
I got news from my friend Adrian Latimer his book “The river at the end of the World” is out, with vivid experiences on his fishing in Argentina as well blended with history, geography, folklore etc.
The book is hardback, 272 pages, full of colour pictures and beautifully published by Medlar. Cost 25 pounds.
All the funds are going to NASF(North Atlantic Salmon Fund, Iceland) or WTT ( Wild Trout Trust, UK ), is also helping to protect the species that we fish for.

Preparing the linen

I have settled in a new studio, I prepared a lot of Linen supports for coming paintings, now I`m painting commissioned work that later will be posted such as angler portraits, fish compositions, fishing scenes… Also I am painting several Atlantic salmon rivers such as Gaula, Laerdal, Stryn, Em, Spey and Dee in Norway and Scotland. Later they will be posted and available for anyone interested in buying these paintings, as well some of Patagonia Chile. |

An Oil painting finished, of the “Black pool” from the Em herrgaard, this will be donated to Gustaf Ulfsparre foundation which is holding a charity auction to keep up their conservation projects for the Em river. Please consider supporting this foundation that is doing great work.

Anglers on the pampas

January- April.
The fishing season in Chile was quite different compared to the last years. Early on it was mainly sunny and hot of course …there was some a big heat wave in December so that in some areas you could find low water conditions. The weather in general was more unstable from February, cloudy and some rain. March was mixed and then April was more rainy. But we got days when the everything was just right and fish were taking with some good hatches etc. |

Also the end of March I went to take photos for a customer for a fishing portrait at Estancia del Zorro lodge (the sister lodge of Cinco rios Lodge). Thanks to Sebastian Galilea and Claudio Joost. In the Coyhaique later you will see this commissioned portrait and some other stuff. |
