Academic formation:

Black pool, Em river donated for GUS auction 2009

I have enjoyed a unique education, which is a privilege in these times that we are living in. My mentor Martín Soria is a Spanish painter, who brought with him the formation that he learned in the Real Academia de San Fernando (Madrid), which was a very hard acadamey to gain entrance to, where only the most skilled were able to become students. Sadly it no longer exists. I also had the chance to become Odd Nerdrum`s student/assistant - Norway`s greatest living painter.

This education has shaped me in having a different approach and view on painting.

I prepare myself all the supports, as the classical painters did. I use pure linen, chalk, rabbit skin glue, linseed oil and different iron oxide pigments for the ground preparation. The linen can be laid over a plywood board or  just on the stretchers. That will depend on the type of preparation used.

If you are interested in any of the paintings presented here contact me for availability.
